In the before times there was nothing but darkness. Until Adam Ryland said "I HAVE DONE A THING" people said "Fascinating!" and thus a board happened where men battled on the ground, and occasionally women. They battled in Extreme Warfare. Hence the name.
At one point Adam Ryland said "MY THING IS NOW A DIFFERENT THING!" and they closed the battleground but it reopened in a Marsh, but it was now mature. This annoyed TGC, an old man from the woods who threw explosives at his enemies until Send me to the Gulag and RW subdued him.
Then EWB became a thing where people like Kirkland post, but most importantly, so does jth1981.
