Gene's kind of wonderful for the kitsch value in any Monday Night War era discussion, because he'll have a ridiculous aside told in Gene Okerlund style. But otherwise, yeah, JR is by far the best at actually guiding the discussion to interesting topics.

I might start a drinking game based on every time that Hayes manages to shoehorn in saving Dallas/making Dallas into a money drawing promotion. Holy shit, right? I was watching the WCCW doc not long ago and I swear every time they interviewed Michael Hayes he had to mention that he SAVED DALLAS/MADE WCCW MONEY/etc. and I have no doubt he was good, but man. Get over yourself. |

Yeah, Legends of Wrestling episodes are pretty good. Never super in-depth but if nothing else it's fun to see all these guys get together and talk. Bret Hart's shameless self-promotion and grudge retention is amazing, as is Michael Hayes pretending to be smarter than he is. Mike Graham, too. But Dusty is always great and Pat Patterson can be counted on to forget they're supposed to be PG about three times an episode. Lots of fun. Considering they're all smoking and drinking in most of the round tables I don't think PG matters much.  That's one of the weirdest/coolest things about them. They all just go into the studio to record two shows or something at a time and smoke cigars and drink. |

I don't think those words have ever been bleeped. I remember being weirded out by hearing bastard on TV years ago and I can't remember hearing it bleeped ever. You'd think it would be, though.
